TEXTILE WEAVING WORKSHOP with Tabby & Tweed

Come and join us for a two hour evening workshop where you will learn to weave your own fabric. In this workshop you will learn rigid heddle weaving. A rigid heddle loom is a fixed panel that moves the warp threads as a group, as opposed to individually thread movement. Your prepared ready warped loom will allow you to weave light work, to create items such as placemats, dishtowels, scarves, shawls or fabric for clothing or a piece of constructed textile that can be framed.

This workshop is suitable for beginners with the use of pick up sticks for those who might have woven before and would be interested in weaving more complex patterns. Looms will already be prepared ready warped so that weaving can commence at the start of the session and all yarn is provided.

The Old Stores Studio Cancellation Policy: Please note if you find yourself unable to attend your booking I'm afraid we are unable to offer a refund but you can transfer your ticket to another person in advance. Please let us know if you wish to do this. If the studio cancels your booking for any reason we will do our best to reschedule the workshop on an alternative date, transfer your credit to another workshop or if that is not possible we can issue a full refund upon request.
