Want to do something different with your loved one this Valentines Day? Fancy treating the plant lover in your life to a relaxing terrarium making session for 2 the calming greenery of York's plant studio? Who needs a candlelit dinner when you could make terrarium magic together instead! (Also suitable for non couples, if you want to come along with a friend or family member.)

Alice welcomes you to The Outside In to get your hands dirty and learn something new. There will be an introduction to the history of terrariums, and you will then be guided through how to make your own, using tropical plants, mosses and stones. Lose yourself in the creating and landscaping of your own miniature tropical world. 

PLEASE NOTE: THE TICKET PRICE IS FOR 2 PEOPLE TO MAKE A TERRARIUM EACH. YOU ONLY NEED TO BUY 1 TICKET PER COUPLE. 

As this is a special workshop, you will have a private table set for 2, nestled in the leafy surroundings of the studio. (There will also be one other table set up for another couple at this workshop.) All materials will be provided for you to each make a terrarium. You’ll be able to take your completed terrariums home with you at the end of the session, along with an aftercare guide on how to keep them in tip top shape.  Feel free to bring along any mini figures, or special mementos (made from plastic/glass/stone/metal) to personalise your terrarium landscape. 

Drinks are included, along with a strong bag for you to safely transport your terrarium home.

Parking is available nearby in Lowther Terrace or The Crescent. Bike racks can be found just around the corner near to Everyman Cinema on Blossom Street.
