Classic Terrarium Workshop

Come and enjoy a relaxing terrarium workshop in the calming greenery of York's plant studio - The Outside In.

Alice welcomes you to The Outside In to get your hands dirty and learn something new. There will be an introduction to the history of terrariums, and you will then be guided through how to make your own using tropical plants, mosses and stones. Lose yourself in the creating and landscaping of your own miniature tropical world! 

All materials will be provided and you’ll be able to take your completed terrarium home with you at the end of the session, along with an aftercare guide on how to keep it in tip top shape. Warm drinks are also included. You'll have time to browse the plant treats in the shop and to pick Alice’s brains with any houseplant questions you may have. 

There are just 6 places available for this workshop. It’s suitable for both adults and children (aged 8 and upwards). Anyone attending will also receive a 10% discount on any purchases from the shop on the day.

Parking is available nearby in Nunnery Lane, Lowther Terrace or The Crescent. Bike racks can be found just around the corner near to Everyman Cinema on Blossom Street.

This workshop is non refundable unless the event is cancelled by the host. If you are no longer able to attend please contact us as soon as possible. There is a minimum number of 2 participants in order for this workshop to be viable. If this minimum is not met you will be contacted in advance of the event and given the option of a full refund or voucher for the next available workshop.
