Pickin' at the Pantry

Thu Jul 30, 2026 5:30 PM - 9:00 PM Pancake Pantry, 1796 21st Ave S Nashville TN 37212

Pickin' at the Pantry is an intimate singer-songwriter experience hosted after hours at Nashville's iconic Pancake Pantry, in partnership with Buddy's Place.

For decades, Pancake Pantry has been more than just a breakfast spot- it's been a gathering place for Nashville's music community. With Music Row just steps behind our doors, countless artists, songwriters, producers, and industry professionals have shared meals, swapped stories, and discussed the next big song over stacks of pancakes. Many entered through our back door for a little privacy, turning breakfast into business and helping shape the soundtrack of Music City.

Together with Buddy's Place, we're bringing that tradition to life with Pickin' at the Pantry. Join us for an evening of live music as three talented songwriters take turns sharing the stories behind their songs, performing the music they've written, and giving guests a behind-the-scenes look at the songwriting process that makes Nashville unique.

Grab a seat, enjoy great food and drinks, and experience an authentic Nashville songwriter round in one of the city's most historic gathering places.

Featuring performances by:

  • Ryan Larkins is a Grammy Award-nominated songwriter from Nashville whose first major cut was recorded by Dolly Parton and Bill Anderson. He earned his first No. 1 hit with “The Painter,” recorded by recent CMA Entertainer of the Year Cody Johnson, which received ACM and CMA award nominations. A Grand Ole Opry regular, Larkins has shared the stage with numerous music legends and opened for Willie Nelson. His songs have also been recorded by Tim McGraw, making him a fan favorite in the country music community.
  • Paul Sikes has been part of Buddy’s Place from the beginning, performing at the very first show in 2011. Also a Nashville native, he has written three No. 1 hits for Matt Stell, Jimmie Allen and Lainey Wilson. In addition, he has landed multiple cuts with both Wilson and Cody Johnson. Sikes is also a highly in-demand producer with an impressive resume of country classics and current artists in Nashville. He’s performed on the Grand Ole Opry’s stage and toured with industry icons like Brett Eldredge and Billy Ray Cyrus.
  • Mae Estes is one of country music's most exciting rising stars. Armed with a powerhouse vocal and a knack for brutally honest storytelling, the Arkansas native has more than 40 million global streams under her belt. Signed to Blue Highway Records, she is one of the key country females to watch, being named to CMT’s Next Women of Country Class of 2024 and a slew of other prestigious artist to watch lists. She has toured with artists including Brad Paisley and Luke Bryan and has made fast fans in others including Vince Gill, Garth Brooks, Lainey Wilson, and more.

This limited-capacity event is designed to create an up-close, personal experience between the artists and audience while celebrating the rich musical history that has been woven into the fabric of Pancake Pantry. Come listen, laugh, sing along, and be part of a Nashville tradition.
