Kids' Sewing Workshop - Make a Comfy Cushion

❓Has your daughter or son got a sewing machine but either needs teaching how to use it properly or needs to build their confidence with it (especially if you're not so hot with a sewing machine yourself)?

🙁 Are they maybe a bit shy about practicing more at school because there's not time, the other kids muck about in class or are they worried they will be laughed at?

🤩 In which case, book her or him onto my Kids' Sewing Workshop during the Easter Holidays (held at the Larrapurz Centre in Ross) where I will be teaching the kids how to make make a squishy squashy patchwork cushion to snuggle up to in bed, or to lean against whilst reading a fave book, or snoozing with in the car.

🤓 We will be building skills with threading the machine and bobbin, learning how to change a needle, how to stitch in a straight line, how to use some of the different presser feet if the machine has them, and put in a zip.

🥳 You daughter or son will be amongst other children who love to sew and want to learn, and I promise a day of lots of fun, giggles and they will come away with a stitched item that they will be very proud of.

😎 Not to mention - you get a few hours to yourself (#justsaying 😉)

🧵 Cost: £55 for the day including snacks and everything needed to be able to take a cushion home.

🛑 Please make sure your child brings a packed lunch and their sewing machine, power cables and foot pedal, bobbins and any of the machine accessories they have (like extra presser feet), and the manual if it has one.

⭕️ This workshop is best suited to children aged 9+, mainly due to their fine motor ability that has developed by then, and their ability to concentrate (well, a little better!) in a group of other kids. If your child is 8, please contact me...I have taught some excellent 8 year olds!

😍 I am a very experienced sewing teacher, Enhanced DBS approved, and have taught adults, children and vulnerable adults for many years.  My adult assistant for the day is also Enhanced DBS approved.
