👆About the Organisers

Gabriel Hutchinson Originally from Hackney, London, Gabriel Redd Hutchinson is a photographer specialising in narrative portraiture. He began his career at one of London’s busiest boutique photo studios under celebrity photographer John Wright, working his way up from assistant to studio manager. This experience set him up well for his own professional career, where he has become known for dynamic, character-driven imagery. Gabriel has photographed prominent figures in entertainment, media, and beyond, and has worked with major organisations including the BBC, The Associated Press, and The Globe and Mail. His debut photobook Six Times - documenting Liverpool FC’s 2019 European Cup victory parade - was embraced by audiences worldwide. Now based in Toronto, but working around the world, Gabriel continues to collaborate with publications and brands, always bringing a cinematic style and a strong sense of story to every project.

The Photography Foundation was created to provide pathways to professional photography for less advantaged young adults in London by offering education, practical experience, and routes to a career in the creative industries. The Photography Foundation acknowledges that commercial photography can be a stressful career and feel isolating at times. Our events are intended to promote wellbeing and the importance of making time for inspiration and creativity in your practice in order to maintain a sustainable career.

Our six-month commercial photography Training Programme provides a supportive and inspiring environment where people aged 18-25 years old to take their professional photography skills to the next level, develop a commercially-focused portfolio tailored to their career goals, and grow their independent voice whilst gaining practical experience.
