Building A Commercial Fashion Photography Portfolio Workshop

Step into the world of commercial fashion photography with this focused, hands-on workshop designed to help you build an intentional and cohesive portfolio that stands out. Whether you’re looking to break into the industry or refine your direction, this session will guide you in creating strong and relevant work that gets noticed.

London-based, award-winning commercial photographer Celso Marrero will guide you on how to approach product fashion test shoots with models, ensuring clarity and purpose, from concept to execution, so each shoot adds value to your portfolio.

You’ll also gain practical, real-time experience, as Celso demonstrates a live shoot using our high-calibre studio equipment, working step by step with a model and helping you build confidence in directing and capturing a professional subject.

To round off the workshop, Celso will introduce key editing approaches used in commercial and lifestyle fashion photography, including a live demo in Capture One, sharing expert tips on achieving a polished, cohesive visual identity that positions your work clearly within the industry.

Guidance on approaching modelling agencies and magazines, including what to send and how to stand out.

Celso Marrero is a London based, award-winning, commercial photographer specialising in lifestyle, sports, streetwear, fashion and product photography, delivering impactful visuals that elevate brands. From concept to completion, Celso oversees every aspect of production to ensure the final images perfectly reflect his clients’ vision. Selected clients include Netflix / Loaf / Sidemen / Casio / Babyliss / Lyle & Scott.

The Photography Foundation is a London-based charity set up in 2019 to create pathways into photography careers and the wider creative industries. We are driven by our belief that everyone deserves a fulfilling creative career, and that creativity thrives when barriers to opportunity are removed.

We have grown into a dynamic hub of creativity, community, and career development for diverse audiences. Our events programme is designed to support a sustainable creative career by enhancing your skills, promoting wellbeing, and underlining the importance of making time for inspiration and creativity in your practice.

Our programme brings together a range of events with different pricing levels, allowing us to better reflect the breadth of the photography and creative careers landscape. To ensure our events remain accessible, we offer a select number of bursary tickets for paid events, and all ticket proceeds help us to continue to deliver low cost and free events for our community.

🎟 Ticket Information

• Spaces are limited, if you can no longer attend, please request a refund for your ticket 48 hrs before the event via Ticket Tailor. If you request a ticket refund in less than 2 days before the scheduled event, you will be charged the full cost of the ticket, and you will not receive a refund.

• There is a fee for this workshop, however if you feel unable to pay, please get in touch with us at Events@thephotographyfoundation.org as we may have bursary spaces available upon remaining availability.
