🔊Previous participant feedback

  • "It takes a special kind of person to make us in the community groups feel comfortable and wanted, and that person is you." Dinah, Workshop attendee

  • "There are people out there who claim to be a safe space and they're all fake, but you are the real deal. You live and embody safety. I can be my true self and there is no judgement when I'm with you." Chloe, Community Event attendee

  • "Being in a space like this made it feel safe to be vulnerable and honest. The time and space created during sessions would give me a sense of calm and inspiration that carried on with me even after leaving sessions." Beth, Private Coaching client

👉About the organisers

Shivani Patel, Founder of Carecrows, has lived with a long-term condition, endometriosis, for 20+ years. As a certified women's coach, she empowers women living with chronic illness to reclaim their lost identities, command respect, and be treated like a queen. Shivani has a knack for relating to women by vulnerably sharing her whole self and experiences. She has over a decade of experience mentoring and facilitating learners of all ages and abilities from her previous roles in the public engagement sector. Most recently, she worked with adults in recovery from addiction, and people living in social isolation, with mental and ill physical health, bereavement, or dementia. Shivani enabled their skills and confidence to grow and observed how they completely turned their lives around. Carecrows offers one-to-one sessions, group facilitation and public events. There is truly something for everyone. Shivani is the tonic and cheerleader everyone needs in their life.

The Photography Foundation is a London-based charity set up in 2019 to create pathways into photography careers and the wider creative industries. We are driven by our belief that everyone deserves a fulfilling creative career, and that creativity thrives when barriers to opportunity are removed. We have grown into a dynamic hub of creativity, community, and career development for diverse audiences.

Our events programme is designed to support a sustainable creative career by enhancing your skills, promoting wellbeing, and underlining the importance of making time for inspiration and creativity in your practice. Our programme brings together a range of events with different pricing levels, allowing us to better reflect the breadth of the photography and creative careers landscape. To ensure our events remain accessible, we offer a select number of bursary tickets for paid events, and all ticket proceeds help us to continue to deliver low cost and free events for our community. We are The Photography Foundation - empowering emerging creatives to see, capture, and shape their futures.

• Our Public Programmes are aimed at anyone aged 16+. If you are an adult who wishes to join with someone younger than 16 years old, please contact us in advance at Events@thephotographyfoundation.org
