The Linbury Incubation: A Time For Everything

A Time For Everything is an exploration of dance and movement based storytelling, based on the ancient text of Ecclesiastes 3, written in the 10th century, BCE. 

 This five day workshop at The Playground Theatre is an opportunity to materialise ideas and enable physical play and discovery with artists in a room. This kind of storytelling and the interpretation of the human condition to music and sound, is only possible to explore within the realm of the physical. The generous gift of time, space, and resources from The Playground Theatre has made this workshop possible and has been a catalyst for future incarnations of this concept and this work. The culmination of this five day journey will be a public sharing at the theatre, incorporating elements of classical ballet, contemporary, contact improv, and other forms of physicality, both abstract and pedestrian. This is in no way a finished or polished performance, but rather an invitation to view the process of creation and discovery...and to provide anonymous feedback, which will further help the creative process in future.
