FREE EVENT FOR INTERNATIONAL MEDICAL GRADUATES INTERESTED IN SURGERY

The Portfolio Clinic presents 'Clinical Skills for CST'. We are excited to announce that our first in person event for the International Medical Graduates Surgical Careers programme will be on Saturday 17th August from 08:30am to 12:30pm at St George’s University of London, Tooting. This half day event will give you all the skills you need to tackle the clinical stations of the core surgical training interview. The sessions will be facilitated by current trainees and will include a mix of lectures and OSCE stations. Further information can be found on the event home page, refreshments will be provided. About the Surgical Careers Programme:

The Portfolio Clinic International Medical Graduate Surgical Careers Programme is a mentoring initiative sponsored and endorsed by the Royal College of Surgeons, England, aiming to help International Medical Graduates get into the surgical programme of their choice. 

International Medical Graduates under The Portfolio Clinic Surgical Careers Programme will be prioritised for this event but external candidates are welcome to apply.

Registration

While the event is free to attend, a £20 deposit is required to secure your spot. The deposit will be fully refunded upon attendance at our event on 17 August 2024.

Travel Grant

We understand the financial challenges of travel. Participants are eligible to apply for The Portfolio Clinic's Travel Grant, which covers up to 50% of your travel costs, or up to £30, whichever is lower, by sending in your travel receipt. Sign up soon to avoid disappointment, as this is limited to the first 20 registrations!
