You can’t go more Argentinian than this! On Saturday the 6th of August, the North London Argentinian venue por excelencia, the Post Bar in Tottenham, will stage another of its (in)famous Choriparty, going the whole hog and welcoming on stage no less than La Fanfarria del Capitán.

Directly from Buenos Aires and fresh from the release of El Cartomanto (the band’s sixth album), La Fanfarria is Argentinian music at its best and fullest. Their sound expresses all the styles, influences and traditions that make the music of this South American country unique.

Blending cumbia with rock, folk with ska, Afro-Latin with indie-pop, the music wanderers captained by Jerónimo Cassagne and Victoria Cornejo give life to an inventive and fresh mestizaje which once showcased live on stage, in front of a dancing and wild audience, touches the nth degree.

But it wouldn’t be a Choriparty without some authentic London cumbieros. So, to open the event and support La Fanfarria del Capitán, we present the one and only Brixton Cumbia Association and their cracking and electro-cumbia sound with a London twist.
