Aberdeenshire’s finest under cover pumpkin picking experience!

This year we have hand planted 25,000 pumpkin seeds for you to come and pick from giving you a huge selection for you to find your perfect pumpkin. Our pumpkins will be under cover of our polytunnels which means that even if it’s rainy outside you can still enjoy picking your pumpkins under the shelter of the polytunnel.

We have a huge selection for you to choose from: big ones, small ones, wonky ones, warty ones…….you name it we’ve got it. We have some new varieties this year too, as well as our tasty pumpkins that are great for cooking!

*ONE TICKET PER CAR ATTENDING*

Tickets cost £15 per car attending including the booking fee (irrespective of how many passengers). This ticket will allow you to spend 1 hour in The Pumpkin Ranch: enjoying our games, photo areas and searching through our pumpkins to find your perfect one!

Once you have selected your ideal pumpkins these can then be purchased and will be priced accordingly dependent on their size. We accept both card and cash payments at The Ranch.

This year we will be open on: 10th - 25th October. Weekdays we will be open 9am - 5pm (last entry at 4pm) and weekends will be 9.00am - 6pm (last entry 5pm). We will have ASN sessions on the 12th, 15th, 19th and 22nd of October from 9.00am - 10.30am. If you would like to attend the ASN session please contact us directly to book a space. 

Please remember that all of our pumpkins have been hand grown from seeds and may not look like the “perfect supermarket pumpkin”. They are grown in the beautiful summer climate of the North East of Scotland and we work very hard throughout the year to grow these beauties........and cross our fingers and toes that the weather is nice to them.

Things to remember when planning your visit:

- Ticket cost covers 1 car entry to The Pumpkin Ranch irrespective of the amount of passengers

- Please wear suitable footwear to attend The Ranch. The pumpkins are undercover however there is a short walk to get into the polytunnel. The outside paths can become quite muddy if it has been raining, so suitable footwear is advised! 

- We accept both card and cash payments

- No toilet facilities

- No dogs (unless working assistance dogs)

- Parking at our venue is at your own risk

FAQs

1. I can no longer attend my original booking. Can I reschedule? YES - you can now alter your booking to another day/time slot that is available. 

2. Do I need to print my ticket confirmation? NO - all we will need upon your arrival to The Pumpkin Ranch is the name that the booking was made under.

3. Do I get a pumpkin included in my ticket? NO - your ticket price covers your entry to The Ranch for 1 hour. Pumpkins can be purchased at the end of your visit and will be charged dependent on their size.

4. Do you have food or drink available at The Ranch? YES -  we have the wonderful Giddy Cup with us over the pumpkin season. Toni serves hot and cold drinks along with delicious freshly made waffles! 

5. My child needs wheelchair access, can you accommodate this? YES - please get in touch directly with us once you have made your booking so that we are aware of specific access needs and we can ensure that you get a parking space close to the polytunnel entrance for easier access. 

6. Is it too spooky for young children? NO - we have our polytunnels decorated in a manner for a fun family outing. We have our giant skeleton “Mr Bones” but everything else is very child friendly!
