Ladies of Light is a space dedicated to the Muslim woman. It is a space for gathering, learning, connecting, receiving, and celebrating joy; a space to develop a strong grounding in and understanding of our rich history as Muslim women.
It is a space to learn about the lives and stories of the Ladies of Light who came before us, and to see examples of female lovers of God. It is a space for honouring women of faith and being inspired and moved to be the best versions of ourselves that we can be.
It is a platform to nourish and encourage creativity, to ignite the creativity that is within us all, and to use creativity as a tool for connecting us back to the Divine. It is a space for healing, connection, and reflection in a non-judgmental and open environment.
Join us for an afternoon of devotional singing, storytelling, and reflection, journeying through the lives of the remarkable women who lived in the light of the Prophet ﷺ.
This is a free event, but donations are welcome. Tea and refreshments will be provided, with special thanks to the Cyprus Islamic Association and Masjid Ramadan.
