Earth's Greatest Enemy - Stroud Screening 14th June

Sun 14 Jun 2026 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM Trinity Rooms, GL5 2HZ

Join Fairford Action and The RYSE for a screening of Abby Martin's powerful new documentary Earth's Greatest Enemy!

This documentary is an urgent investigative report full of startling data and striking imagery that reveals the brutal scale and consequences of the hidden footprint to the environment and communities of 'earth's greatest enemy' - the US Military!

The film confronts head on not just the war-mongering of the US but also the raw fact - rarely acknowledged in mainstream debates - that the U.S. military is the single largest consumer of fossil fuels on the planet as well as the most destructive force to ecosystems and communities worldwide. An astonishing level of destruction that is still exempt from all international climate treaties and that the film makes clear we cannot ignore if we're at all serious about real climate action!

As a coming together of the Anti-War and Climate movements, Abby Martin's film powerfully situates these environmental costs within the broader system of the U.S. Empire, where their global military dominance drives ever more resource extraction, protects corporate interests and destroys communites the world over. Featuring rare confrontations with Pentagon officials, as well as high-ranking politicians, Earth's Greatest Enemy exposes how leaders deflect accountability while securing ever-increasing spending for the newly named "Department of War!"
