Spooky Pottery Painting Afternoon - North Cave

Spook themed pottery painting workshop for all ages and abilities!

Come along to this peaceful venue in the countryside and choose what you'd like to paint from a selection of blank pottery bisque. I have lots of equipment for different decoration techniques so don't worry if you're not very artistic, I can show you how to create something wonderful using very simple methods. Including pumpkin and bat shaped sponge stamps. You won't even need to touch a paintbrush if you don't want to!

Once beautifully decorated, I will take your masterpieces away to dry, glaze and fire. They will be ready for you to collect in a couple of weeks from my home studio in South Cave or from the Mires Beck Office.

Prices range from £10 to £30 with most items at £15, to be paid for on the day by cash, card or online transfer. This is in addition to the £4 studio fee per person which is payable on booking. Parents and carers are welcome to paint as well, but if you don't want to paint please book a free ticket so I can manage seating. Ample parking is available on-site. Refreshments will be available to purchase on the day with all proceeds going to Mires Beck. For those not familiar with Mires Beck Nursery, it is a charity that cares for and supports adults with all sorts of disabilities through horticultural therapy. The service users thrive as they grow a huge variety of plants for retail and take part in lots of other fantastic activities and day-trips alongside. The nursery will be open 10am-4pm for you to have a wonder round, you may even find some beautiful new plants for your garden!
