Red Cell Support Hub
We are pleased to invite parents and carers to our new Red Cell Support Hub, an online supportive space created especially for families living with children affected by Sickle Cell, Thalassaemia, and Rare Inherited Anaemia conditions.
The Red Cell Support Hub has been developed to give parents and carers a place to connect, talk openly, and receive supportive guidance around the everyday realities of raising a child with a long-term condition.
The session will be guided by Eleni Dee, certified health coach, mum of 2, and also brings personal lived experience of managing long-term health challenges through these conditions. Through both professional knowledge and real-life understanding, Eleni offers a practical and compassionate space where parents can feel heard, supported, and encouraged to thrive in their wellbeing.
Next online session:
📅 Saturday 13th June
🕙 Proposed start time: 11:00am
⏱ Duration: 90 mins
💻 Online access details provided following registration
This isn’t a clinical appointment, it’s a supportive, relaxed conversation where parents can join from home, listen in, and share only what feels comfortable. Each session is interactive, with gentle guidance, thoughtful coaching, and space to explore meaningful questions without judgement.
Future sessions will include wellbeing topics such as:
- Managing pain within family life
- Supporting children with school and social challenges
- Parent wellbeing, tiredness and emotional load
- Food choices and daily routines
- Hospital stress and managing appointments
- Parenting pressures and family challenges
- Building confidence through shared experiences
The aim is to help parents build a sense of community with others who understand similar journeys, while also gaining practical coaching support and wellbeing guidance.
This hub is a safe and welcoming platform where no one is expected to have all the answers, just a place to connect, learn, and support one another.
We would love parents and carers to register their interest and also indicate which session time would work best for them.

Intro to Eleni
I am a sickle cell warrior, certified health coach, and founder of Meraki Health, a coaching practice built around helping individuals and families find realistic, holistic ways to improve wellbeing so they can thrive through life, not simply survive it.
My work supports people at many different stages of life, from new parents trying to navigate toddler nutrition and fussy eating, to individuals living daily with chronic pain who want practical ways to strengthen their wellbeing alongside conventional medical care.
What underpins all of my coaching is a strong belief that small, sustainable lifestyle changes can make a meaningful difference to everyday health, resilience, and quality of life. My approach focuses on four key pillars: nutrition, self-care, stress management, and sleep hygiene. These foundations often shape how we cope physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Alongside professional training, I also bring lived understanding of what it means to manage long-term health challenges while balancing family life, which allows me to support others with both practical knowledge and genuine empathy.
