Introduction to Social GRACES
Understanding the patterns that shape how we work, relate, support or lead
This online workshop offers an introduction to the Social GRACES model and its practical framework for exploring identity, difference, and perspective. It helps to highlight a greater awareness of ourselves, others and the diverse experiences that influence us as professionals.
Particularly relevant for helping professionals, educators, healthcare practitioners, coaches, managers and those working closely with people, the workshop offers an accessible introduction to a framework that can deepen reflective practice, strengthen relationships, and increase awareness of identity and context.
The Social GRACES framework invites us to consider the many aspects of identity that influence how we experience ourselves and others. Exploring areas such as gender, race, age, culture, religion, ethnicity, education, sexuality, and social class can deepen our understanding of the contexts that shape our lives, relationships, and perspectives.
Through guided reflection and discussion, participants are invited to explore how identity, privilege, difference, and lived experience can influence communication, connection, and understanding in both personal and professional settings.
The session combines theory, reflection, and experiential learning.
This workshop can be attended as a standalone session or combined with our companion workshop, Introduction to Genograms.
The workshop includes:
- A one-hour live online workshop
- An introduction to the Social GRACES framework
- Exploration of identity, culture, and lived experience
- Reflective exercises and facilitated discussion
- Opportunities to deepen self-awareness and relational understanding
- CPD Certificate of Attendance
Leave with a practical framework for exploring identity, difference and lived experience, together with perspectives that can support more thoughtful, inclusive and relationally aware practice.
