This six-part course will run on consecutive Thursday evenings (7pm-8.30pm) from March 6 – April 10, 2025.
Join our editor, Susan Clark, to discover who your Nature allies are and learn how to work with them to unveil your deep creativity. This course will prove you can write, and write well, even when life has told you otherwise. You will learn how to embody and embed your writing as a sacred practice and never again turn away from the blank page…
Susan says, “This course works for both those with an established writing practice and those who say, “Who me? I’m not creative, I can’t write!” but secretly want to. This is because the truth is, we are all creative, we may just need to be shown how to access that buried creativity. And supported when we do.
“If you bring an open heart and a willingness to dive deep you will quickly forge a longer lasting and more meaningful writing partnership with the natural world. You will be amazed and delighted by the creativity you’ll discover — a creativity that has been within and waiting for an outlet all along.”
The course content will also reflect the recent themes of the magazine including, ‘When We Speak’, ‘Nature, Our Teacher’, ‘Deep Listening’ and most the upcoming New Year 2025 theme, ‘The Gift of Life.’ Although we work with Nature this course is not limited to Nature writing. We will cover all genres, including Life story, creative non-fiction, fiction, writing as activism, writing as a spiritual practice, poetry and Nature writing.
Note: Whilst this course is primarily about writing, it will support any creative endeavour.
Susan Clark is the editor of Resurgence & Ecologist magazine and the author of over 30 non-fiction wellness titles. An award-winning former Sunday Times writer and columnist, she is currently writing a new Nature-related series for a major UK publisher.
