Samhain Celebration: Meditation, Ancient Wisdom, Reflection and Nature Connection
Samhain Celebration: Meditation, Ancient Wisdom, Reflection and Nature Connection
Share this event
As we journey deep erinto the dark half of the year, let us nurture our relationship with Nature, ourselves and the dark. The people of old believed everything began in the dark - the babe in the dark of the womb, the seed in the dark of the Earth. So for them, Samhain, a time of growing darkness, marked the beginning of a New Year.
As the leaves continue to fall from the trees, we will enter and embrace the liminal space between what was and what will be. True to the age-old traditions of Samhain, we will honour our lineages and ancestors, known and unknown, before turning to honour what will be by tending to the Earth for the ones yet to come.
Earth Festival Guide: Georgie Gilmore
Georgie has a deep love for the Earth. Having spent a number of years teaching meditation to adults and teenagers as a way of supporting their wellbeing, she now guides meditation in a way that seeks to tend to the wellbeing of both people and planet. She uses various tools to weave together a practice of rich self-enquiry and inner exploration that inspires outward action. Creating a space for nourishment and renewal, Georgie’s passion for the natural world, her grounded presence and carefully curated, Earth-inspired meditation journeys evoke insight, connection and change.
