Rhythms Festival is a two-day celebration of electronic music, creativity, and community, bringing together artists, DJs, and music lovers from across the UK and beyond. Built from the grassroots foundations of The Rhythms Project, the festival is designed to showcase emerging talent alongside established performers, creating an inclusive space where the music culture of Teesside is celebrated and connectios thrive.

Set in an open, immersive environment, the festival blends underground energy with forward-thinking production, offering a unique experience that bridges the gap between local scenes and global sounds. Across the weekend, attendees can explore four distinct arenas, each with its own identity, sound, and atmosphere.

The Festival Experience

Over two days, Rhythms Festival delivers a carefully curated journey through house, tech house, minimal, and experimental electronic music past and present. The event is more than just a festival, it’s a platform for progression, collaboration, and discovery, giving artists the opportunity to evolve while audiences experience music in its rawest and most exciting form.

The Arenas

1. The Legends Arena
This is where high-energy musical vibes from the previous decades are brought to you with performances, large-scale production, featuring the time served DJs that built the Teesside scene! Expect powerful sound systems, immersive lighting, and a crowd united by rhythm and nostalgia!

2. The Brands Arena

A deeper, more intimate space dedicated to the party brands that are bringing the cutting edge developments of electronic music.
This arena focuses on underground house, minimal, and deeper sounds, giving space to selectors who prioritise groove, texture, and journey.
It’s a place for true music heads, raw, stripped-back, and authentic.

3. The Making Noise Arena

A unique concept arena showcasing artists transitioning from the casual DJ's to professional artists of live performance.
Here, DJ's who are sculpting a career in the industry step up to deliver live sets, hybrid performances, and experimental original showcases.
This arena represents progression, creativity, and the future of electronic music performance.

4. The Battle Arena

Where energy meets unpredictability. A back to back battle!
In this interactive space, Rhythms residents go head-to-head in back-to-back DJ battles, with a twist..... festival-goers have the chance to step up and join the decks. It’s raw, exciting, and community-driven, breaking down the barrier between artist and audience. Its gonna get heated!

Camping & Community Living

Rhythms Festival offers an on-site camping experience, allowing attendees to fully immerse themselves in the weekend from start to finish. The campsite is designed to be safe, welcoming, and community-focused, creating a space where festival-goers can relax, connect, and recharge.

With dedicated camping zones, essential facilities, and a laid-back atmosphere, the campsite becomes an extension of the festival itself, where new friendships are formed, stories are shared, and the energy of the event continues beyond the arenas.

Food & Drink Vendors

A curated selection of independent food and drink vendors will be on-site throughout the festival, offering a diverse range of high-quality options to suit all tastes. From street food favourites and good old fashioned grub options will be available, ensuring everyone can refuel and party on!

The food area is designed as a social hub within the festival, providing a space to recharge, refuel, and connect with others while enjoying great food in a vibrant atmosphere. Wherever possible, Rhythms Festival aims to support local businesses and traders, reinforcing its commitment to the regional creative economy.
