The Royal Family Dance Crew presents: 2027 COMPANY AUDITIONS

Our annual Royal Family Dance Crew and Duchesses Company Auditions will be held back at home in Auckland, New Zealand. These will take place at The Palace Dance Studio from 27 - 29 November 2026, and will determine our crew lineup for 2027.

(New Zealand auditions are separate from auditions held in Rome, Italy from 3 - 5 October 2025. We are holding two different auditions in 2026 to be apart of the company for 2027)

DATES & TIMES:

Registrations will be open from 8.30am - 9.45am, Friday 27 November 2026

DAY 1 10.00am - 3.30pm Friday 27 November 2026

DAY 2 10.00am - 3.30pm Saturday 28 November 2026

DAY 3 10.00am - 1.00pm Sunday 29 November 2026

(To audition, it is mandatory to attend ALL 3 days)

INTERNATIONAL DANCERS:

If for any reason you are unable to attend the auditions, the ticket is non-refundable.

If you are selected for any of our crews, you must understand and agree that all financial arrangements are taken care of by you while living in New Zealand. This includes a Visa; this must be for 1 year at a minimum – please ensure you have this prior to auditions. The Palace Dance Studio is not a “registered training establishment", therefore we are unable to assist with your Visa Application and letter of support.

PREPARING FOR YOUR AUDITION:

Auditions are taught at an ADVANCED LEVEL.

• Each dancer will need to prepare a (strictly) 1-minute solo.
• Each dancer needs to send their music via email to info@thepalacedancestudio.co.nz by 5.00pm, Wednesday 25 November as well as bringing music on a USB with their name clearly labeled on it. This needs to be handed in at registration. Music must be edited prior to this.
• Each dancer needs to submit their required documents and files via the link on the event confirmation provided after application registration.

• Cellphones cannot be used on the day for solos. 

• Music must have no swearing, any suggestive or bad language.

• Varsity and Adult auditions will be combined, there will be no separate auditions. Crews will then be selected from those who are successful.

• Our auditions are closed, no spectators are allowed at any time.

• Cellphones are not to be used throughout auditions. This includes filming yourself, choreographers or other dancers.

GENERAL INFORMATION:

• You will have 30 minutes for lunch each day, please ensure you bring enough food for the duration of the day.

• Bring your own drink bottle, snacks and sweat towel.

• Any valuable things you bring into the studio are your own responsibility.

• Drinks are available to purchase at The Palace Dance Studio. CASH/CARD are accepted.

• Ensure you have read and understood the term and conditions at checkout before making your purchase.

• The application deadline is 12.00pm, Thursday 26 November 2026.
