At the heart of Christianity there is an ancient tradition of meditation that can change a person and change the world.
The purpose of this one-day workshop is to introduce the practice of Christian meditation as a way of liberation, wholeness and peace. It's essence is radically simple. But it can be difficult for us to release ourselves into its healing simplicity.
Through a series of short talks, meditation practice and conversation we’ll explore:
Ultimately, meditation is not about mastering techniques, it’s the quiet, steady work of being here, fully present for the gift of our life. We learn to be present with God without any agenda. We learn to be present with those around us in simple solidarity.

Chris Whittington is the founder of the School of Contemplative Life. He was introduced to contemplative practice at the age of 19 during a period of formation at the Benedictine monastery of Prinknash Abbey, after which he studied at the Dalai Lama’s monastery in India. Chris regularly delivers talks, workshops and retreats across the UK.
