The Snorth Park Backyard Jam

A summer afternoon of music, art, tacos, and community.

The School of Imperfection and Core Creatives invite you to the first Backyard Jam, a laid back gathering designed to bring people together through creativity and conversation.

We'll have live vinyl from DJ Headshot and DUBWFFL, live band set from Brayden Nguyen, a giant community canvas that everyone is invited to contribute to, and pop-up tacos from Los Tacos Barrios. A variety of drinks are included.

No experience is required. You don't need to be an artist, a musician, or particularly good at anything. This is about showing up, meeting interesting people, making something with your hands, and spending an afternoon outside with your community.

The School of Imperfection is a community built around learning, creativity, and the idea that you don't have to be an expert to participate. Through workshops, events, and experiences, we help people reconnect with curiosity, creativity, and each other. Core Creatives is a San Diego based creative community focused on bringing artists, musicians, makers, and creative people together through meaningful experiences. Through gatherings, collaborations, and community events, Core Creatives creates opportunities for people to connect, share ideas, and support one another's creative journeys.

Together, we're creating spaces where people can meet new people, make things with their hands, discover local artists, and be reminded that creativity is often more fun when it's shared.
