A singles night for people who would rather make something than make small talk.

Singles events can be awkward. So we’re giving you something better to do than stand around holding a drink and asking people what they do for work.

The Art of Love is part art night, part game night, part singles mixer — built around creative activities designed to get you talking, laughing, making things, and actually meeting people.

No artistic ability required. Probably better if you don’t have any.

What we’re doing

You’ll move through a series of creative games, group activities and mini challenges throughout the night, including things like:

Portrait Speed Dating
You have five minutes to draw the person across from you while getting to know them. Your drawing will almost certainly be terrible. That’s part of it.

Dating Preferences
A group card game that skips some of the small talk and gets into what people actually like, want and find interesting.

Squiggle Outside the Box
We give you a line. You turn it into something. There are no correct answers.

Pass the Painting
Start a painting. Pass it. Let someone else ruin it. Repeat.

The Art of Love Bingo
Your mission for the night: meet people, find shared interests, complete creative challenges and fill your card. First blackout wins a prize — potentially including a sponsored date night.

There’ll also be Polaroids, drawing, making things for strangers and a few other questionable creative decisions.

We’ll help break the ice

After you buy your ticket, we’ll send you a short survey about things like your age, interests, hobbies and what you’re looking for.

We’ll use that information to help organize the room and create a few intentional opportunities to meet people you might actually have something in common with.

Not matchmaking.

Just slightly more thoughtful than putting 40 single people in a room and hoping for the best.

Tickets include admission and all materials needed for the evening.

Prices increase as the event gets closer, so procrastination has consequences.
