Event Information:
Did you know that studies have shown that South Asian women have experienced higher estimated prevalence rates of diagnosed anxiety disorders and self-reported extremely stressful life stresses compared to their Canadian-born counterparts? South Asian Women in Canadian-born populations have also had a higher estimated prevalence rate of poor-fair self-perceived mental health status compared to their immigrant counterparts.
The Sifarish Network’s Aspire to Inspire Event- “Dealing with difficult situations and managing adversity as a South Asian Woman” is an in-person networking event that will aim to have attendees gain valuable insights from a panel of local South Asian women leaders with experience dealing with personal and professional adversity. Panellists will cover topics such as strategies to remain resilient in difficult times, how to deal with societal pressures as a South Asian Woman, how to manage failure, and thriving with adversity.
