Sally Knyvette, born on February 9, 1951, is a distinguished English actress and director, known for her portrayal of Jenna Stannis in the BBC science fiction series Blake's 7. This was her first major television work.  Jenna, a skilled pilot and smuggler, was a central character in the first two series of Blake's 7 (1978–79).  Jenna is a strong, action-oriented woman, but decision to leave the series after two seasons.

After departing Blake's 7, Knyvette pursued an English and drama degree at the University of London, seeking to broaden her artistic horizons.

She continued her television career with roles such as Kate Sugden in the ITV soap opera Emmerdale (1988–91). In addition to her on-screen work, Knyvette has lent her voice to various audio dramas, including reprising her role as Jenna in Big Finish audios

Beyond acting, Knyvette has directed numerous theatre productions and has been an advocate for women's rights and environmental issues. Her diverse career reflects her dedication to the arts and her commitment to exploring complex, dynamic characters.
