Northern Roll is back for another year of high-energy skating, community vibes, and the best roller culture weekend in the North. Across three unique venues, you’ll get a full festival experience: park skating, dance skating, roller derby energy, live DJs, challenges, workshops, and a family-friendly atmosphere from Friday through Sunday.
Whether you’re rolling for fun, levelling up your skills, or just soaking in the scene, this is your weekend.
Three Venues, Three Distinct Days
FRIDAY - Skate ’n Play
A relaxed kick-off session built for families, new skaters, and anyone who wants a warm-up session before the main weekend. Inclusive, low-pressure, and perfect for getting your wheels under you.
SATURDAY - Roller Day
The centrepiece of the festival. Expect a packed floor, DJs, workshops, open skating, roller dance sessions, roller derby, and plenty of space to roll at your own pace. Skate hire available. This is our biggest-capacity day and sells out every year.
SUNDAY - Skatepark Session
Our signature skatepark takeover. Bowls, ramps, rails, coaching support, and a welcoming culture for all skill levels. Whether you’re dropping in for the first time or pushing advanced lines, Sunday is where the progression happens.

Weekend Passes
Full access to all three festival days (Fri/Sat/Sun).

- Super Early Bird: Includes a 20% discount code on one workshop booking.
Gold Weekend Pass
Only 10 available. Premium access to all three festival days (Fri/Sat/Sun), including:
- New Dock Hall Festival Plaza
- Family Disco (all ages)
- Saturday Night Disco (18+ only)
- Street Skate (18+)
- Roller Derby Event
- All standard festival programming across all venues
- After-party entry included (18+)
- This pass also includes unlimited free access to workshops offered across the entire weekend.
To book workshop slots, Gold pass holders will receive a Gold Membership access code. The code allows them to reserve places at any workshop at no additional cost, subject to capacity.

Friday Tickets
Access to Friday’s Skate ’n Play session. A relaxed, family-friendly warm-up to the festival.
Not eligible for Saturday or Sunday workshops, discos, or after-party tickets.
Saturday Tickets
Access to all Saturday programming, plus entry to:
- New Dock Hall Festival Plaza
- Family Disco (all ages)
- Saturday Night Disco (18+ only)
- Street Skate (18+)
- Roller Derby Event
- Saturday workshops and after-party (18+) tickets available for purchase with Saturday Membership access code while stocks last.
Sunday Tickets
Access to all Sunday programming, including:
- Skatepark Session (bowls, ramps, progression)
- Jam Space (flat-floor skating for non-park riders)
- Sunday workshop available with Sunday Membership access code.
Not eligible for Saturday workshops, discos, or after-party tickets.
Door Tickets
Released on the day only if capacity remains. These often sell out in advance, Prebooking is strongly recommended.
Workshops at Northern Roll
From skatepark progression and street sessions to roller derby intensives, dance masterclasses and creative off-skate workshops, Northern Roll brings together world-class coaches across every discipline.
To book a workshop, you must first purchase a Weekend Pass or the corresponding Day Ticket.
After buying your ticket, you’ll receive a unique member code by email. This code unlocks access to the workshops your pass is eligible for and allows you to complete your booking.
Workshop spaces are limited and many will sell out.

🔥 BOMBA PACKAGE
Premium Coaching Experience + Northern Roll Weekend Pass
Take your skating to the next level with an exclusive weekend of coaching from Bomba.
The Bomba Package includes a full Northern Roll weekend ticket plus 4 hours of focused skatepark and street coaching across the festival. Choose from Beginner or Advanced level and train in a small group setting designed for real progression, technical feedback and high-impact learning.
Expect structured sessions, personalised guidance and a supportive but challenging environment. This is not a drop-in workshop. It’s a curated coaching experience across the weekend.
Limited to just 6 skaters per level.
18+ only.
If minimum numbers aren’t reached by 1 June, the package will be withdrawn.

ROLLER DERBY ROOKIE PACKAGE
Blocker + Jammer School (Saturday) – Coach: Trash Panda
Train with Trash Panda in this focused WFTDA development package for skaters building confidence and gameplay control.
Includes:
• Rookie/Intermediate Blocker School
• Rookie/Intermediate Jammer School
You’ll work on lateral movement, stops, speed control, tripod fundamentals, wall attacks, jukes, positioning and pack communication — all in a structured, high-rep environment.
WFTDA. 18+ only.
Saturday festival ticket required.
ROLLER DERBY FULL DAY PACKAGE
Complete Saturday Derby Intensive – Coach: Trash Panda
A full-day WFTDA competitive training experience led by Trash Panda.
Includes:
• Rookie/Intermediate Blocker School
• Rookie/Intermediate Jammer School
• Intermediate/Advanced Whole-Game Workshop
Expect advanced transitions, toe stop optimisation, pair blocking, offence integration and high-efficiency pack communication under gameplay pressure.
Designed for skaters competing at Five Nations Tier 1–3 (or equivalent competitive level).
High reps. High intensity. Competitive focus.
WFTDA. 18+ only.

✨🛼 PRIVATE LESSONS WITH MORGAN WESKE
Private lessons with roller skating legend Morgan Weske, coming to Northern Roll all the way from LA! ✨🛼
Book a private 30-minute lesson or small group session tailored to your style and goals. From technique and flow to choreography and performance, Morgan will create a session specially for you.
Lessons will take place at Leeds Dance Studio, with discounted rates available for Northern Roll ticket holders.

- All tickets are non-refundable but can be transferred.
- Children must be supervised by an adult.
- Helmets and protective gear are strongly recommended. Required for children under 18 and for the skatepark venue.
