The SoNote Production team is delighted to invite you to enjoy a summer evening concert on the 30th of June, celebrating Rachmaninoff’s 150th anniversary. This event will take place in the stunning Palace of Art in the heart of Kensington - Leighton House.
Denis Shapovalov is a marvellously talented cellist: he is the winner of the XI International Tchaikovsky Competition and was also the first classical musician to play at the North Pole! Together with award winning pianist Caroline Clipsham he will play Rachmaninoff's unique cello sonata, written for his closest friend – acclaimed cellist Anatoliy Brandukov, and some beautiful romances arranged for cello and piano.
During the interval our guests will be offered complimentary drinks, and will have the chance to admire the paintings by our special guest LuSee Art, which are inspired by Rachmaninoff‘s romances.
As well as this, the concert will start with a student from the Rachmaninoff Music Academy, Anton Polyneev, playing Rachmaninoff's "Elegy - Op3 No.1"
We also want to welcome our guest charity: Let Me Know (www.lmkletmeknow.org). LMK is the only London charity offering a domestic violence and relationship abuse prevention programme to teenagers.
We hope you can join us and look forward to welcoming you to this special event.
