FreeForm Dance Festival | VisKosity Dance Collective

VisKosity Dance Collective, in collaboration with The Spark, is thrilled to present the second year of FreeForm Dance Festival happening March 14th-16th. Please join us for 3 nights of a curated show featuring an all-styles, multicultural, unique dance experience by Colorado artists.

VisKosity Dance Collective aims to create visceral, in depth, thought provoking and embodied dance works that disrupt preconceived notions surrounding marginalized communities, in order to create space for audience members, collaborators, and dancers to have candid, open conversations about topics that are not frequented. VisKosity dancers will be performing a new piece Thursday and Saturday night, along with a selection of many other amazing pieces.

VisKosity is proud to bring a dance performance like no other to the Boulder-Denver region by selecting performance artists that bring diverse styles and techniques that may not always be seen on stage, but we feel provide thought provoking, embodied, and entertaining elements to the audience. Come and see original and repertory choreography from cultures across the world, including House, Modern, Contemporary, Jazz, Hip-hop, Roma Style Folk Dance, Tap, Krump, and Vogue Femme.  Last festival’s show sold out so don’t wait! Whether you are a fellow dancer, an art enthusiast, friend or family member, or just looking for a great community event, FreeForm Dance Festival has something for everyone to see.

Doors at 6:30pm. Event starts at 7:00pm. This is a limited engagement event. Run Time is approx 1.5-hrs. "PG-13 rated show" due to language in some music.

The Spark space welcomes 96 seated audience members. Tickets available in advance and at the door. General Admission Seating tickets are available for this event.

VisKosity Dance Collective was established by Vivian Kim, MFA and Keith Haynes, MFA in 2020. VisKosity Dance Collective is a Contemporary-Street Dance fusion company based in Boulder, CO. VisKosity Dance Collective aims to create visceral, in-depth, thought-provoking and embodied dance works that disrupt preconceived notions surrounding marginalized communities, in order to create space for audience members, collaborators and dancers to have candid, open conversations about topics that are not frequented.

ABOUT THE SPARK SPACE!

The Spark boasts a 4600sqft venue space that includes a large reception lobby inspired by modern art galleries, two dance studios with sprung floors, and a flexible open-air theater. ABOUT TICKET PRICES, FEES & DONATIONS

We operate an intimate arts venue and greatly appreciate your attendance. Ticket revenue directly supports the artist and employs local theater professionals. We do our best to keep processing fees to a minimum. Donations to The Spark are tax deductible as the venue is a registered 501c3 non-profit.
