Lionel Bart's Oliver!

The award-winning musical adaptation of the classic Dickens novel springs to life with some of the most memorable characters and songs ever to grace the stage. The streets of Victorian England come to life as Oliver, a malnourished orphan in a workhouse, becomes the neglected apprentice of an undertaker. Oliver escapes to London and finds acceptance amongst a group of petty thieves and pickpockets led by the elderly Fagin. When Oliver is captured for a theft he did not commit, the benevolent victim, Mr. Brownlow takes him in. Fearing the safety of his hideout, Fagin employs the sinister Bill Sikes and the sympathetic Nancy to kidnap him back, threatening Oliver’s chances of discovering the true love of a family.

Run Time is approx 2-hrs and 30-mins including a 15-min Intermission.

Rated PG. Generally considered appropriate for families, but some parental guidance is advised due to certain mature themes and scenes. While it's a popular choice for all ages, some may find content related to crime, poverty, and violence in the streets unsuitable for very young children.

Plus we'll be practicing our proper Cockney accents with Dodger and the crew. It's all included in your Student Ticket (guardians are welcome to attend with students).

The Spark is a multi-generational theater company. Our company is made up primarily of non-union professional artists and students considering a career path in theater through higher education.

The Spark space welcomes 96 audience members. Starting this season ALL seating at The Spark is reserved. Before buying your tickets please ensure you have coordinated with your full group to ensure you are seated together AND check with your actor regarding which performances they are featured in.

ABOUT TICKET PRICES, FEES & DONATIONS
We operate an intimate arts venue and greatly appreciate your attendance. Ticket revenue directly supports the artist and employs local theater professionals. We do our best to keep processing fees to a minimum. Donations to The Spark are tax deductible as the venue is a registered 501c3 non-profit.
