"Oh, the thinks you can think" when Dr. Seuss' best-loved characters collide and cavort in an unforgettable musical caper. Seussical is fun for the whole family!

The Cat in the Hat tells the story of Horton, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust that contains the Whos, including Jojo, a Who child sent off to military school for thinking too many "thinks." Horton faces a double challenge: not only must he protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must guard an abandoned egg, left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant.

Run Time is approx 2.5-hrs including a 15-min Intermission.

Rated PG. This show contains sociopolitical themes. It is recommended for 5+. This show is presented in a traditional theater environment; sitting quietly for longer periods of time is required. At The Spark we want all ages to experience theater, but we understand that musicals are long. Little ones will get antsy, so we have a studio space available to get jumpy outs when needed.

The Spark space welcomes 100 audience members. Seating at The Spark is typically general admission. Limited reserved seating is available. For our reserved seating ticket holders: when you arrive, you'll check in at the box office. They'll direct you to the house and when you enter you'll see your groups last name on your seats. No need to arrive early. Your premium seating will be reserved and held for you!
