About this event
Yoga Nidra also known as Yogic Sleep is a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping, induced by guided meditation. During the practice you lie down, or sit if you prefer and are guided through several stages, designed in such a way to naturally connect your body and breath which helps to slow down the brainwaves. When that happens, the parasympathetic response of the body is induced, responsible for deep restoration, relaxation and healing. And while not a substitute for actual sleep, 45min of Yoga Nidra has been shown to be equivalent to 3 hours of normal sleep.
Thought of as one of the most accessible forms of meditation, it has all the benefits of meditation, including but not limited to the below;
- Releases tension in the body and mind, refining physical and mental health

- Improves thought patterns and reduces stress
- Clears the mind for learning and absorbing new material
- Improved self-esteem and confidence
- Improved mindfulness in day to day life
- Helps with creativity
- Enhanced neuroplasticity
