The Resonance of Form: A Live Music & Dance Performance with Storefront Artist Fellows Tim Corpus and Rachel Molinaro

Skokie Artist Fellows Tim Corpus and Rachel Molinaro explore the symbiosis between the human body and digital architecture in The Resonance of Form, premiering at The Storefront on May 29-30. This live evening of dance, music and technology centers movement as the primary conductor of the performance environment. By integrating gyroscopic sensors and Open Sound Control (OSC) technology, Tim and Rachel transform the stage into a responsive instrument.

This collaborative approach challenges the status quo of passive technical design. By integrating wearable controllers with custom software, we are creating a feedback loop where organic movement and digital response are inseparable. This is not just dance accompanied by music; it is a conceptual shift where gravity, momentum, and physical height are mapped to specific auditory and visual frequencies. This creates a distinct aesthetic where every performance is a unique, non-repeatable manifestation of human motion and technological synergy.
