The Studio Book Binding Workshop

Level 1

This hands-on bookbinding workshop will introduce participants to folding, assembling and shaping paper using specialist binding tools. Students will learn a range of adaptable book structures suitable for sketchbooks, presentations or artists’ books, while building a strong
foundation in core techniques. By the end of this workshop, students will have gained the skills to continue making independently with minimal equipment.

Suitable for beginners.
All materials and tools provided.

Instructor: Eimearjean McCormack

Eimearjean graduated in 2007 with a Masters in Fine Art Print from the University of the Arts London. In 2016 she completed a second Masters in Graphic Design specializing in publication design projects primarily informed by artists’ books and zine culture. She has exhibited extensively throughout Ireland and internationally in cities such as New York, Tokyo, Kyoto, Detroit, Berlin, London, Lorient and Taiwan.
