All soapbox enthusiasts will no doubt remember that the very first large-scale UK soapbox races were held in Roundhay Park in Leeds in 2001. Well, soapbox now returns to its spiritual home in the guise of The Roundhay Park Leeds Super Soapbox Challenge 2022! It’ll be a great day out for all the family with continual commentary and all the action visible on large format screens. As well as the excitement on the course itself, there’ll be a funfair, live music and lots of food and drink concessions to choose from and many more surprises to follow.

Watch out for our celebrity guests! You’ll be able to meet our favourite champion racer, Sir Sidney Cartalot too!

For the safety of both participants and attendees, the entire course will have security fencing and hay bales in place.

We have lots of space for car parking at the adjacent Soldiers Field, Princes Avenue, Roundhay Park, Leeds, LS8 1DF.

So, for a fantastic, fun-filled family day out in one of Europe's finest parks, get your tickets now. Book before June 30th and get your Early Bird tickets. Children aged 0-4 years get in FREE when accompanied by at least one adult.

Gates open at 1000 and the first cart down the ramp is at 1100. We have half an hour's break at lunchtime when you'll enjoy live music on the stage and the racing then continues until about 1730, followed by prize-giving and more live music to end the proceedings. The event finishes at around 1830.
