COURSE: Current Issues in Private Client Work: Case Law, Trends and Effective Client Advice for 2026

Wed 23 Sep 2026 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM BST TBC

Private Client practitioners encounter a steady flow of new case law and practical developments each year, shaping how they advise on wills, estate administration, succession planning and risk management. In this in-person session, Professor Lesley King will review the most significant recent decisions and statutory changes affecting day-to-day practice, offering clear and practical guidance for advisers in 2026/27. The session will consider the implications of the developments for private client practice.

Delegates will gain an up-to-date understanding of the issues currently shaping private client practice, together with practical insights to support robust, compliant and client-centred advice in the year ahead. Through worked examples and examples from cases, the session will highlight common pitfalls, developing themes and practical approaches that can help practitioners navigate both recurring challenges and emerging issues within modern private client work.
