Student Sustainability Research Conference 2024
The Student Sustainability Research Conference returns to the University of Leeds on Wednesday 6 March 2024!

The conference will feature innovative and exciting sustainability-related student presentations, workshops, installations and academic posters from ten universities across Yorkshire and Humber. The focus is on inspiring, sharing, and learning. Reflecting the interdisciplinary nature of sustainability, the research presented addresses many different aspects of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Prof. Jeff Grabill, Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Student Education at the University of Leeds, and Jenny Wilson, Director of Campus Innovation: Masterplanning, Asset Management & Sustainability, will open the conference with a welcome address and student panel followed by over 60 student speakers throughout the day.
Thom Cooper, Head of Sustainability at the University of Leeds, will chair the guest speaker panel and awards ceremony which will feature inspirational speakers Rosa Foster (Co-Director of Yorkshire & Humber Climate Commission and Lead on our Climate Emergency response in Yorkshire at the Environment Agency) and Jamie Crummie (co-founding Director of Too Good to Go).
The conference will close with a Careers in Sustainability; Meet the Employers event (5-6pm) in Parkinson Court which will allow attendees to connect around careers in sustainability.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided throughout the day, you can express any dietary requirements when registering for a ticket. We will also be providing organised coach travel from Bradford, Huddersfield, Hull, Sheffield and York, please sign up when registering for your ticket.
