Campus Fungi Foray

Join staff and students from the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Cultures and the Mid-Yorkshire Fungus Group for an autumn fungi foray on campus. Discover the remarkable variety of fungi that thrive across the University grounds. Whether you're interested in nature, photography, biodiversity, or simply trying something new, this guided walk is a chance to explore and learn about the fascinating world of fungi. No prior knowledge is needed, just curiosity and suitable clothing and footwear for potentially muddy conditions. Hot drinks will be provided after the walk. If weather conditions are unsuitable, alternative activities will be offered. Records from the event will contribute to the University's biodiversity programme. Access: The route is a slow two-hour walk across campus, using paved paths and uneven ground that may be muddy, with some slopes, steps and frequent stops. Participants are welcome to join for all or part of the walk.
