BARE: An introduction to the world of Wine.

BARE is a relaxed introduction to the world of wine, designed for anyone who wants to understand it better — whether you work in hospitality or just enjoy a glass.

The session will be led by two brilliant sommeliers based in the North East, it will cover the basics of tasting: how to smell, taste, and talk about wine with more confidence. It’s an easy-going, hands-on session with plenty of opportunities to ask questions and chat.

The skills explored in this session can be directly applied in the hospitality workplace, helping build confidence in recommending, serving, and talking about wine with guests and colleagues.

Ailsa Samuels – House/Assemble 
Specialising in natural wines and known for her approachable, friendly tasting sessions 

Vanessa Stoltz – Sommelier at Pine, Northumberland
Bringing her fine dining experience and practical insight into what makes a wine stand out.

This session is open to everyone — whether you’re new to wine, work in the industry, or just want to learn a bit more in good company.
