In this half day workshop we will look at The Five Sacred Guardians and the Six Healing sounds -
An Ideal workshop for those wishing to expand their knowledge of Chi Kung and Chinese Philosophy
The Five Sacred Guardians are:-
- Green Dragon of the East: Stands for the wood element, adaptability, and renewal.
- Vermillion Bird of the South: Stands for the fire element, joy, and emotional balance.
- Yellow Snake of the Center: Stands for the earth element, wisdom, and transformation during seasonal shifts.
- White Tiger of the West: Stands for the metal element, courage, and protection.
- Black Tortoise of the North: Stands for the water element, stability, and perseverance.
Six Healing Sounds
- Xu (Shwuu): Associated with the liver (Wood element); helps release anger and invite kindness.
- He (Haa): Associated with the heart (Fire element); helps release anxiety and invite joy.
- Hu (Whoo): Associated with the spleen (Earth element); helps release worry and invite openness.
- Si (Sss): Associated with the lungs (Metal element); helps release sadness or grief and invite courage.
- Chui (Chwee): Associated with the kidneys (Water element); helps release fear and invite gentleness or peace.
- Xi (Shee): Associated with the San Jiao (Triple Burner/Heater); helps balance body temperature and release stress across the upper, middle, and lower torso
