Bespoke Pattern Construction: The Men’s Jacket | Full Figure (3 Day Event)
Mon 16 Dec 2024 2:30 PM - 5:00 PM GMT
Online, Zoom
Description
A three-part live online class teaching the construction of a bespoke cutting pattern for the classic men's jacket, for fuller figures*. No previous experience required. Literature provided.
This class is dedicated to the drafting of the bespoke pattern from scratch. Based on actual body measurements, rather than using pre-fabricated blocks, the course teaches the art of cutting for the individual - yourself or a customer.
This is a three-day course, taking place from Mon 16th to Wed 18th December 2024, 2:30pm to 5pm each day (please only book for the first date, the other two are included in the fee).
*The drafting method is suitable for fuller figures, where the chest girth is only 0 cm to 6 cm larger than the waist girth. Please get in touch if in doubt.
Participants will be able to create their own patterns using the literature we provide with the class. Measurements are in the metric system.
To enhance the online experience, we draft in small scale, on A3 paper. A measuring tape and set of instructions are provided prior to the course.
Included in the price:
- Your complete cutting pattern in 1:3 scale (body, sleeve, collar)
- The skill to repeat the draft for anyone, anytime
- Written instructions for future reference
- A recording of the lesson for download
