☀️ Made by the Sun: A Wearable Cyanotype Workshop with Sarah Jones Decker

When: Saturday, September 26 (World Cyanotype Day!)

Where: The Ten Acre Garden, 148 Chambers Farm Lane, Canton, NC 28716

Time: 1pm-3pm

This hands-on cyanotype workshop explores the magic of the 19th-century camera-less photographic process. We will create together using sunlight, UV lights, iron-salt chemicals, and pressed botanical items. Suitable for all levels, it covers coating paper/fabric, exposing, and developing prints. Class provides chemicals, paper and pressed plants to cover a canvas bag (provided). 

Students are also encouraged to bring their own solid and transparent objects and/or pressed botanical items. Students will take home their own printed canvas bag!

Sarah Jones Decker is a visual storyteller based in the mountains of North Carolina and Tennessee. She is an award-winning photographer, published author, farmer and occasional tintype alchemist in studio 105 at Marshall High Studios.

REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations made 14 days or more prior to the event date are eligible for a full refund.

Cancellations made 7 to 14 days before the event will receive a 50% refund.

Cancellations made less than 7 days before the event are non-refundable.

Tickets are transferable to another participant if you are unable to attend. Please notify us in advance with the new attendee’s information.

In the event of cancellation by the instructor or The Ten Acre Garden, and if no reschedule date is available, a full refund will be issued.
