Mon 13 Jul 2026 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM The Thomas Hardye Theatre, DT1 2ET

The People's Emergency Briefing.

Please join us for a free screening of a new film featuring Chris Packham, leading scientists, Jennifer Saunders, Deborah Meaden and a range of voices from across the UK.

The event starts at 6:00pm and ends at 7:30pm.

This 45 minute film reflects the National Emergency Briefing on the Climate and Nature Crisis held in Westminster in November 2025.

The initiative is explicitly non-partisan, and has support from a wide range of organisations including National Trust, Church of England, Exeter University, the Royal Meteorological Society, WWF, National Education Union, and many more. Its purpose is to support informed democratic discussion and ensure that Parliament and the public share a common understanding of the scale and urgency of the challenge.

The film will be followed by an informal discussion and reflections on its impact, and what we can do as a community.

Seats are free but limited so please book in advance. If after booking you are unable to attend, we’d be very grateful if you could let us know so that we can re-allocate your ticket to someone else.

Bring a friend, neighbour or family member: everyone is welcome. (the film has a rating of 12+, due to the nature of the film those under 16 are asked to be accompanied by an adult).
