Tuesday 24th November, 7pm-8.30pm.

Understanding Neurodiversity: Small Changes, Big Differences

Join neuro-inclusion expert Dr Louise Karwowski for an engaging, thought-provoking and practical exploration of neurodiversity and what it means to be truly inclusive.

We'll start by exploring what neurodiversity actually means, challenge some common misconceptions and consider how everyday environments, expectations and interactions can create barriers for people who think, learn and experience the world differently.

But understanding difference is only the beginning. The real focus of the evening is on what we can do differently. From the language we use and the assumptions we make, to communication, sensory environments and everyday micro-inclusions, we'll explore how small, thoughtful changes can make a big difference. Whether at work, at home or in our communities, we'll consider how we can move beyond awareness and take practical steps towards making inclusion part of everyday life.

As always, entry is free, but you’ll need to sign up for a ticket to secure your place.

*Send Us Your Questions*

Ahead of the event, we're inviting you to send in any questions or topics you'd particularly like us to explore. Whether it's the difference between neurodiversity and neurodivergence, understanding autism and ADHD, navigating everyday challenges, or simply something you've always wondered about – no question is too basic.

Email your suggestions or questions to: HebdenBridgeUni@gmail.com

We'll use your inputs to help shape the evening and make sure we cover what matters most to you. We look forward to a thoughtful, welcoming and practical night!
