Everything Parents Need to Know About U.S. University Applications

Join James Mills on Tuesday 13 October 2026 from 6:00–6:45pm GMT as he explains the U.S. admissions process, shares insider strategies, and answers your questions live, helping international students stand out when applying to American universities.

Introduction

With over 4,000 universities and unmatched flexibility, applying to U.S. universities can feel exciting—and overwhelming. Parents, students, and counsellors often ask:

  • Has enough been done to be competitive in a U.S. applicant pool—especially from outside the American system?
  • What do U.S. admissions officers actually look for in international students?
  • What more can be done to build a compelling application without unnecessary stress?

This 30-minute webinar, followed by a live Q&A, provides students, families, and counsellors with clarity, confidence, and practical guidance to navigate the U.S. admissions journey. James Mills will show how U.S. universities evaluate applicants, how to craft a strong, distinctive profile, and which strategies help international students stand out in essays, extracurriculars, and academic preparation.
