Round 6 of the Yorkshire Cancer Research More Life To Live and Sheffield Pioneers ring fenced schemes will open in October/November this year. This event will provide information on both schemes including the processes for applying. There will be a chance to ask questions and a networking lunch. You may also book a 1:1 session with either University staff or Yorkshire Cancer Research to discuss your proposal.
This year's round will be offering Project Awards, Small Grants (Pump Priming) and Fellowships (Transition and Advanced). This year’s scheme will not be accepting applications for Programme Transformative Capital awards.
- Project awards: up to £1M / 3 years. These must be led by researchers holding Permanent or Open Ended TUoS contracts.
- Small Grants: up to £200K / 2 years. These may be led by all TUoS researchers (those on Permanent, Open Ended or Fixed Term contracts). Staff who are not on a Permanent Contract may include their salary as part of the application. They are intended to fund specific new projects/studies. They are not intended to be used as bridging funding (i.e. continuation of post doctoral work on projects under current PI, covering technician or research posts in isolation).
- Advanced Fellowships: up to £1.25M / 5 years.
- Transition Fellowships: up to £350K / 3.5 years.
