SESSION 1
Welcome to Tennis!
For new and beginner players
2:00 – 3:30 pm
Thinking about picking up tennis? This is your starting point. We'll cover the basics — how to swing, rally, and play points — using lower-compression balls that make it easier to get the ball back and have some fun right away. By the end, you'll be ready for the VB round robin and other club activities like GVS.
SESSION 2
Tune Up Tennis
For intermediate players
3:45 – 5:15 pm
Already playing but want to sharpen things up? This one's for you. We'll revisit the fundamentals — groundstrokes, volleys, overheads — and get into point play games that'll bring out your competitive side. Expect a good workout and some fun.
About the Instructor: Mike Lesiuk is a Tennis Canada certified instructor and a familiar face at the VB courts. He teaches tennis at the University of Manitoba and the Winnipeg Winter Club, and brings the same energy and enthusiasm to everything he does on the court. |
