Our popular, well rounded antenatal classes cover everything you need to know from pregnancy, to different types of birth experience and the postnatal period - including caring for and feeding your baby! Plus meet a group of local friends all meeting their baby around the same time as you!

The course will be covering physiological birth, how to help yourself through the different stages of labour, induction of labour, assisted birth, caesarean birth, how to make yourself as comfortable as possible at the end of pregnancy, the postnatal recovery period, slings & carriers, the fourth trimester with baby, baby care and all things feeding baby... As you can tell, we cover a lot! You will get a thorough handout of information plus lots of follow up links and Jenni is at the other end of the phone (via WhatsApp!) for any questions you might have.

About Megan:

Hello! I’m Megan, an independent midwife based in Colchester, Essex. My practice is grounded in the belief that every woman and birthing person deserves to feel respected, informed and genuinely supported throughout their pregnancy, birth and beyond.

Outside of being a midwife, I live with my partner, our two boys and mischievous cat. We love to travel, experiencing new cultures and culinary delights. Previously to training as a midwife, I worked in conservation and learned to SCUBA dive.

I am extremely passionate about birthing people being fully informed on their childbirth choices. Antenatal education is the cornerstone of this enabling families to feel prepared and empowered. Working alongside Sophie and teaching The Village Midwife antenatal course is a natural extension of this as it beautifully embodies the same ethos that guides my work. I can’t wait to start supporting you and your family on your journey.

Pricing:

To book your place on the course you will need to pay £100 for your ticket now and the remaining balance of £150, is due a week prior to the antenatal course. Details of how to make the final payment will be emailed to you directly. You only need to book one place on the course whether you are single or in a couple - one place per pregnant person!
