In July 2025 the co- directors of the Voice Project, Sian Croose and Jon Baker, attended a talk in the Octagon by Philip Hoare that was part of the first Norwich History Festival. Hoare shared his illuminating enthusiasm for the artistic visions of William Blake and how they held a key place in the imagination of so many artists, writers, filmmakers and thinkers.
Diving Dream was first performed in January 2026 and is a montage of ideas, images and visions, from the dark of the middle of the night, to the bright spark of starlight. There is swimming , walking and flying, sleeping and waking, rising and dreaming. Performed by The Voice Project choir as well as a brilliant ensemble of professional performers, Diving Dream features music written by Jon Baker, Helen Chadwick, Sian Croose, Orlando Gough, as well as words by Emily Dickinson, Coleridge and William Blake .
