The beginner woodworking certification class is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the wood shop. Students will learn shop safety protocols and how to operate a number of  the most commonly used machines safely. Machines used include the table saw, miter saw, router, band saw, drill press and a variety of hand tools. Over this 7-week course, students will work on gaining confidence and skills in the wood shop while working through each step of their project. By the end of this course, students will be able to operate a number of common tools and machines independently and safely. Students completing this course will be eligible to apply for wood shop monthly membership.
